As seen on TV, a multiple award winner - including the Architects' Journal Retrofit 2024 winner - presented for SPAB (Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings), and demonstrated to the Historic Royal Palaces. To our knowledge, considered the first exemplar of converting a Grade I (1485 Tudor) estate into becoming carbon neutral. This nationally recognised, award-winning project was a pleasure to work on, and involved the installation of 2 solar arrays, 12 Tesla batteries (one of the largest powerwall installations), 4 GSHP and 15 AHSP.
An estate-wide, community project in the heartland of Dorset, Athelhampton Zero significantly reduced the client’s energy costs and is a great example of championing sustainability on heritage sites.
As one AJ judge put it: ‘We were looking for something exceptional and this project really was.’
