Design excellence, technical rigour and long-term value

Spase brings the technical rigour of an established architectural and surveying practice together with a progressive, sustainability-focused outlook.

We work across heritage buildings, listed properties, contemporary architecture and adaptive reuse, responding carefully to context, purpose and long-term value.

Our work is guided by four principles: quality, integrity, collaboration and innovation and every project, regardless of scale, is developed in close partnership with our clients.

Our People

Our multidisciplinary team of Architects & Surveyors brings together creative thinking, technical expertise and a deep understanding of heritage and contemporary architecture to deliver thoughtful, sustainable projects.

Frequently Asked Questions

The RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) is the professional body representing Architects in the UK and worldwide. There is an annual membership for RIBA registered architects which entitles members to be called a ‘Chartered Architect’. You cannot legally call yourself an Architect unless you have completed degree-level training of 5 years and a minimum of 2 years practical training affiliated to an architectural practice. Architects must sit professional exams to qualify.

The ARB (Architects Registration Board) allows us to use the title ‘architect’ and protects our clients by ensuring that they are using a qualified architect. You can search the ARB website register to ensure that you are working with a suitably qualified architect.

Both the ARB and RIBA set the standards of ethics and best practice within the industry.

Firstly, expertise and peace of mind. Using a RICS Surveyor will give you reassurance that your surveyor has undertaken thorough training and has the knowledge to provide you with a superior level of service, as expected by the RICS code of conduct.

In the UK, all RICS Members and Chartered Surveyors are regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), must hold RICS qualification, adhere to the RICS high standards and must be covered with professional indemnity insurance.

Every project we undertake is tailored to each individual client to meet their specific needs. The overall budget required is dependent on the complexity of the project and the level of service required. We work to all kinds of budgets.

The survey you need depends on a variety of factors relating to your property – including its type and age. You can find more information about the surveys we offer as RICS Chartered Surveyors here.
