We’re delighted to share that Sherborne House has won the Refurbishment/Revitalisation award at this year’s RICS Awards regional ceremony, having been shortlisted in three categories: Community Benefit, Heritage, and Refurbishment/Revitalisation.

The Grade I listed Georgian mansion in North Dorset, complete with its medieval wing and significant artwork by Sir James Thornhill, was restored under SPASE’s direction from planning permission through to full project management. The project balances rigorous heritage conservation with the building’s new life as a versatile arts centre for the local community.
It’s the latest recognition for a scheme that has already been shortlisted for the AJ Retrofit & Reuse Awards 2025, and won awards from the Georgian Group and the Structural Timber Awards in 2024.
The win means Sherborne House now goes forward to represent the region at the RICS UK Grand Final on 22 October 2026.
More to follow as the awards season progresses.
