Chapel Street was a dilapidated cob cottage in a Dorset village, transformed into a six bedroom home blending arts and crafts character with contemporary considerations. With only the external cob walls retained, careful spatial design was essential to make the transformation a true success, reworking the layout from the ground up within the original footprint.

A complementary extension, built in renowned local Purbeck Stone and topped with a sedum roof, introduced large sliding doors opening onto a light, open kitchen, dining and sitting space, giving the cottage a generous new heart for everyday living.
