Dutch Barn
Dutch Barn was a former agricultural barn in the Dorset countryside, requiring planning permission for demolition and replacement with a building of similar form for residential use. The new design needed to complement its rural setting while serving a very different purpose.
A contemporary approach, using standing seam zinc and cedar cladding, gave the new building a confident yet sympathetic presence in the landscape, resulting in an effective and well-resolved build.
